Claire
My husband will be 65 in April so we have sent in the forms to Newcastle to apply for the UK state pension. We are currently paying into the French system, the amount being based on his private pension. We have been paying for three years. Does anyone know what we need to do, what forms to fill in to advise CPAM and URSSAF that we will no longer be required to pay into the French system from April 2009. We are assuming that our contributions will not cease automatically.
babcock
You will need the E121 which details your husband and you as a dependant. This tells CPAM that the british government will subsequently be funding your basic healthcare. Take the forms (having photocopied beforehand) to your CPAM office. They are familier with the procedure and will arrange for your payments to stop.NB you will still have to pay your mutuelle
