betty
Can anyone recommend a hospital between Brest and Rennes that has a good MRI unit? Thank you.
RicandJo
I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong but I don't think you can just select a hospital and go ask for an MRI - you have to be referred by your GP/specialist who will advise the best place to go and write you a script. cooperlola
That's what I thought too, R&J. Mine was prescribed by my surgeon and done at the hospital where I subsequently had my op'.
betty
Thank you for your replies.I have a prescription and Rennes was mentioned but I would prefer to go to a hospital a little further west if possible for ease of travel and closer to friends if help was needed. There are a few horror stories about MRI, hence my asking for a recommendation. Sunday Driver
Why not contact your own local hospital? If they don't have an MRI facility of their own, then they'll tell you where they send their patients to.
Russethouse
Which is your nearest local town ?
Val_2
You normally go where your doctor sends you for a fixed appointment, you don't pick and choose. The Cavale Blanche at Brest is one of the best hospitals in Brittany, everything serious is transferred there from down this western end and if they cannot help, then Rennes or Nantes afterwards.
