Certificat d'hospitalisation

Recommended Posts

This one is directed at Norman H though, of course, all advice from anyone else is very welcome[:)]

I don't mind putting this on open forum so that others might benefit from the answers.

Here is the story:

OH had to go in for a minor op today though, from his account, there was a bit of "overkill"...............what d'you expect, here is one macho and very stubborn Welshman.

Seems like he was put on a couple of intravenous drips and had a sort of a trip by way of a local anaesthetic.........."the best part of the day"!!!

Anyway, they brought him back by VSL, arranged by me after advice that NH had given me last year.

I now want to know what to do with this bit of paper?

Do I just take it to the CPAM?

He's got prescriptions for painkillers, the nurse to change his dressings etc etc etc all of which I know how to organise but I am not at all sure about this certificat?

As an aside, the certificat says "overture des droits 100%", so does that mean that all treatments prescribed will be fully reimbursed?

Sorry to sound so clueless.  Until recently, we'd hardly darkened the doors of any hospital......

Thank you in advance for your answers.

1)Keep it in case anyone wants it

2) It is mainly intended for working people to prove why they were off sick

3) It also serves to show that you were discharged at  the responsibilty of the hospital ; you didn't just walk out

4) It proves that you have been in hospital if you wish to be reimbursed (by a Mutuelle for example, though this usually goes through automatically)

It sounds as if the after-care that has been prescribed will be covered at 100%. I am not so sure about the things that have already been done, but in anycase it's a bit academic since you have a Mutuelle so if the Sécu dont pay the 100% the mutualle will make it up

All of which to say you don't do anything active with it unless asked
