woolybanana
Michel Sapin, the minister for pretending to reduce government spending, is pressing for a reform of the ALD ststem whereby thiose with long term illnesses get their treatment and medication without charge.Though he is apparently being resisted by the Health minister, he is proposing that those afflicted, and there are many in France, will no longer receive all of their treatment free. Quite how this will be worked out is anybody's guess, but it could mean forking out cash for various treatments or medication.Watch this space
lindal1000
I reads the report herehttp://www.actusoins.com/262649/affections-de-longue-duree-le-remboursement-a-100-remis-en-question.htmland it doesn't actually say very much apart from trying to reduce the list of illnesses that are covered and making sure that you are only reimbursed 100% for the treatments etc specifically related to that illness..which is how it should be anyway. The people with the biggest amount to lose here are the mutuelles, who currently don't have to cough up anything for anyone with an ALD. For the rest of us, if you had a mutuelle it wouldn't make much difference, although it would almost certainly push up the premiums for everyone to cover the extra. vette
I could sound cruel, but how ironic would it be if he became ill with something that was just below the current criteria for free treatment.Yeh, I know, I'm cynical.
lindal1000
It wouldn't make any difference to him because his mutuelle would pay up.
