foudrier
Living permanently in France ...great idea...but also a bit scary, big step? Just renting a house (and do the same things you did in the UK, thanks to internet and mobile phone) is possible, ofcourse....but does that really give you proper 'living-in-France'-feeling? For those who consider this and are doubtfull .... here might be an alternative suitable for you.We, a Dutch couple, would like to give the opportunity to 'try' living the countrylife in France for two or three months in autumn 2009 to a non-smoking couple (in their thirties or fourties, like us).By giving us a hand with maintaining the terrain (woodland, meadows and riverside) and around the buildings , for a few hours a day, it's possible to reduce the rent to only the expences for heating/cooking. Doing so, there is also plenty of time exploring the area, learning French.... After 2 or 3 months living here like this, you will have a better idea what living in France is about. If you like it, you will also know if the Limousin might be the right area for your future in France. Interested? Any questions? Please respond!
