SaligoBay
LAST EDITED ON 05-Dec-03 AT 06:51 PM (GMT)You know that tale about the sun and the wind having a contest to see who was more powerful?Well, I can tell you now that between computer terminals and mobile phones, the mobile phone wins hands down.I'd noticed before that putting it near the terminal made the terminal go funny, but of course my 9-yr-ld son didn't know that, he ran in with my phone, put it beside the terminal, and before I could say "Don't put that there!", there was a discreet crack and flash, and the terminal was mort.I've been to 2 computer shops today, and both looked at me as if I was mad and perhaps a bit dangerous. But it's true, honest!!I've taken the back off and looked intelligently at it. I recognised a 4-amp fuse, but that's not the problem. Does anyone have any ideas? I would be as grateful as it's possible to be across the ether.Boo hoo SaligoBay on A.N.Other's computer.
Mazan
> there was a >discreet crack and flash, and >the terminal was mort. What do you mean by "terminal"? Which part is dead? And yes, you should never use a mobile phone near anything electronic (TVs, digiboxes, PCs, microwave oven). I don't like them near my head either. Those phones are very powerful and I won't have one in the house.
