Bernice
Ive got Sky at home in the UK and have just been given another Sky dish and digibox (with Sky card) The owner died recently and his relatives had no use for these. The dish and box are about 4 years old and the Sky subscription has been cancelled. I would like to set up the dish and box in Brittany to receive FTA UK transmissions. What about the Sky card can I receive FTA with this or do I have to get another card (free2view?)? I have been told I may need a larger dish but I suppose its worth a try with the one I have.Im a complete novice with these things but Ive found recent postings on setting up a satellite system very encouraging.Bernice. Lautrec
Down here in The Charente, we get perfect reception just as good as we got in the UK. We had to upgrade to a one metre dish though as it is a weaker footprint than at 'home'!
Bobdude
If it's any help we live near Poitiers, and following the excellent advice given on here, bought the 40 euro basic 60cm universal dish from Mr. Bricolage, managed to install it, on the second day, with step by step instructions from Mazan and others (thanks again!) and have perfect reception. Good luck!
