Lindy
Info please:Do FT charge per pole to install a phone line? If so how much? How long is it likely to take them? We won't need it until July/August so was just wondering if I will have to give them loads of notice. Thanks in advance
Mazan
The typically French republican notion of "service universal" means that the standard phone connection charge (about 45 the last time I heard) applies no matter how easy or hard the installation is.In practice if you really live up a mountain miles from the nearest phone line then FT may just give you a wireless phone for the same price.Sometimes FT try and wriggle out of the legal "service universal" obligations but as far as I know they still apply. morchard
We had a telephone line put in a couple of months ago. Cost was 46 euros. Took about 10 days from placing the order. We did have to provide a french bank account before they would go ahead with the order though.
