ADSL Coverage and BBC/ITV etc

With retirement looming ever closer, and hopefully my last move, can anyone tell me how I can find out which areas are already ADSL connected and which areas of west and south-west France are likely to be connected within the next 6-15 months.

At present have an unlimited 1024 multi-modem connection for 29 euros pm of which 10 go to KPN(GPO).

Some people may think I'm lucky here but in Holland only BBC 1/2 and World and TV5(French) are available and after 30 odd years I'm starved of good old UK TV - I might change my mind later!

What is available in France and through which system - cable, satelite or pot luck.
