Diana
Thinking of buying my first ever Apple. The only bit of MS softwear I will miss is AutoRoute is there a similar product for Apples.ThanksDiana
Dick Smith
I have Route 66 (http://www.route66.com) now called Route Europe 2004, which works fine, but I don't have it for OSX, and it seems to have been enhanced a lot since I bought mine (about 5 years ago). According to the blurb it now does everything except hold the steering wheel. Costs 49.99.RegardsDickBONO ANIMO ES
Tonypowell2
When you get you mac, you wil find a link to viammichelin.com in Safari (Apple's own web browser) that I use all the time for route planning. It even gives you the state of the weather en route.
Diana
Thanks for these suggestions, I often use Via Michlen but you have to be logged on. I have found the Route 66 software for about 25 so will probably go with that. Still trying to make up my mind what to buy, I know Apples are nice but they are expensive too!Diana
Diana
Did the deed on Saturday and am now the proud owner of a 15" Powerbook along with those amaising speakers, a photo printer and a wifi mouse. By Sunday things had become a little bit fraught when it would not accept my password to install the printer (not used to passwords on a PC), Fortunately our son had bought the same model in the states last month and immediately deavled into the things inerds and got round that little problem. Then the 2 Apples spent the rest of the evening BlueToothing files to each other, I think they have struck up quite an intermate relationship and will have to watch them carefully when they are in sleep mode.Diana
