Mikew
Has anyone upgraded from the previous standard 802.11b, to the new 54G faster wireless networking? Is it noticeably faster, and a worthwhile upgrade when connected online (I use a 1024 ADSL net connection with a wireless linked laptop as well as my my main (wired) PC)? Simon
Yes it is faster, but won't speed up your net connections unless it is above 11mbps which I suspect is unlikely, or if your wireless link is cogging down to compensate for a poor signal. Time<%@ Page Language="C#" %><%= Request.Browser.Browser %>
Not worth the cash, 11mbps is already 10x faster than the broadband connection.. I've used both, as well as 100mbps wired and whilst the difference is noticable, I don't think it's worth the outlay. Even for gaming purposes and stuff, I find 10mbps is perfectly fine..
