NigT Posted December 14, 2004 Share Posted December 14, 2004 I have been using my business PC with Numeris for quite some time but now wish to connect my personal PC via Numeris. My business PC is managed by an IT Department who do not allow admin rights and consequesntly I cannot see the settings.When I connect my own PC I get the message "no dialtone". Hegs Posted December 14, 2004 Share Posted December 14, 2004 It is possible you will not be able to do anything with your business equipment. After all, that is what the owners obviously intend. However, you can try:How is the Numeris telephone line connected to the PC? It matters, are there intermediate boxes, if so what are their model numbers. Also, regardless you will need a user name, password, and phone number for your Numeris dial-up. If these are hidden by your systems admin you are SOL and need to sign up for a personal account.
