Aly
We would like to receive all channels offered by Freesatfromsky. I understand that we need the necessary card. Our query is, do we need a sky receiver (with conditional access module) or could we get a receiver in France which has a Common Interface. Robbie34
To receive the free to view channels you will need a Sky digibox with a card. Sky will not release a Videoguard cam so you have to buy the Sky box with cam embedded. Rumour has it that ITV will not renew their contract with Sky for encryption, and so ITV 1 and 2 will be free to air. If that should happen it's likely that Channel Four and Five will do the same when their contracts expire, and in that event any digital receiver will be suitable. BJSLIV
It would be nice if all the earthbound channels shook off their Sky shackles. However it might be a bit harder for C4 as they would still need to be somewhat involved with Sky to collect their money for E4 and Film Four. Would son of Rupert play ball? IAN_S
I saw that E4 would also go the same way, not sure about Film 4.
