NormanH
Tryhttp://www.leboncoin.fr/choose a region (say Auvergne) and go into the box saying -toutes categories-choose 'location' and fill in your maximum price for rent and your minimum space requirements. You will see the offersAfter you can widen the search area to 'toute la france' I found this for examplehttp://www.leboncoin.fr/locations/213304283.htm?ca=3_s
Val_2
And as with anything to do with renting a property in France where the laws may confuse you, make sure you have a proper legal contract signed by both parties, an état des lieux and the price is stated and WHAT IT INCLUDES AND WHAT IT DOES NOT. You as the renter will pay the taxe d'habitation and all the utilities usually. I would also make sure the person renting out the property is the legal owners, its not unknown for people to rent properties they don't own and collect the payment here either.
