Graham & Brenda
I'm trying to open www.advfn.co.uk , (which is a sharedealing site) but, presumably because I have a French ISP it is defaulting to the .com address, with French information. Is there any way I can "force" a site to open as entered without this happening please? Thanks,Graham
Hegs
It is up to each site what criterias to use to decide whether you are "French". If they are sensible, they will have used your settings first before looking at which ISP you use. What you can try is: - Go to Control Panel/Regional Options. Ensure your locale is English (United Kingdom). If not, change that. - Go it Internet Explorer Tools Menu, Options, then the Languages button there. Delete any French options and add in English (United Kingdom). - Delete all cookies from advfn.co.uk to clear settings (do a search if you do not know how to do this)If doing the above doesn't work, it will be the ISP's IP address range causing the problem and you will have to contact advfn.co.uk to sort it out. Maybe they have some kind of option to undo it on the site?
Stowcott
When I'm in France I use the following link http://www.advfn.com/?forceview=gb which gives me the UK ADVFN site.
