Jon 1
I am seeking advice on a French ISP that provides a monthly dial-up contract that is not fixed for the minimum of a year. If that is not available then advice on the most cost effective alternatives please. Thanks in advance.
tj
HiDepends how long you want be online, but if you dont want a contract you don't have much choice!Free.fr, Dixienet.fr, Tiscali.fr, all offer free connections, no fees only the cost of a local call, so about 80 cents per hour.Have used all, Free.fr seems to work best.regards
suein56
HiI am with Wanadoo dial-up and it does just what you want - no minimum/maximum - just decide what tariff you want eg 25h a month for 10€,50h for 15€, 75h for 20€, unlimited for 25€. You can vary the tariff you require every month if you wish, put it in hibernation (no charge at all) if you go on holiday and generally play about with it. There are cheaper but Wanadoo is (or has been for me) very reliable, first time connection every time, has dropped on me only once and is very easy to set up.And you can cancel it at will too!Sue
Steve Last
I was using Free.fr which was fine until a few months ago when it became almost impossible to get a reliable connection, so switched to Tiscali.fr - local call charges, no monthly fee.
