Lesbatees Posted June 13, 2005 Share Posted June 13, 2005 I recently downloaded Internet Explorer 6 and MSN Messenger 7.0. At first everything worked fine, then I started having problems with the keyboard freezing or the mouse going haywire and opening and closing windows at random.I've got McAfee installed with email scanning and updates via the web. ChezShells Posted June 14, 2005 Share Posted June 14, 2005 Difficult to say without seeing the computer but you say it opens and closes windows, cant say ive ever seen this before but if you have changed or tried another keyboard and mouse one thing that comes to mind is faulty memory, but a long shot.Does windows ever freeze and you have to reboot? if so then deffinately try changing the memory. Lautrec Posted June 14, 2005 Share Posted June 14, 2005 Hello Les,I have found the answer to most problems is to go on to <Control Panel> < Performance and Maintenance> and initiate Systems Restore. Pick a date when it was working ok and then restore your system to that date.
