bryansmith
We will shortly be moving to 47 and wish to have internet available. We currently use a Belkin wireless system so that we can use our PC and laptop on the internet. We still have the original modem provided by Tiscali but would prefer to keep the Belkin. We are only bringing the laptop to France - will this type of modem work with a French ISP and if so which ISP would anone recommend to use (I understand that broadband will be available "shortly" in the area).thanks very much
Mikew
Just purchased one of these Belkin fast systems to update my gear here. Providing you set the parameters up for a French adsl ISP the it will work fine. There is info on the cd regarding the changes, in the form of a table of different countries requirements. Coverage very good thro' thick concrete and walls, better than my last system.I use Wanadoo 1024, I did not use the setup disk, I manually entered my details into the Modem and have had no trouble at all with service or e-mails.
