Alex H
Google shows 9000+ hits for this combination (Java Byteverify virus), but I suggest http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/trojan.byteverify.html(as I can't get to the one recommended)ORgo to the web site of your anti virus supplier and search there
Alfa
If it's an embedded file you will need to do the following:If you are using XP disable system restore. In the control pane select folder options >view> and put a tick in 'show hidden files and folders' box.Run AVG again and make a note of the full path of the virus file by hovering the mouse pointer over it in AVG.Go into the relevant drive (probably C) and browse your way to the offending file which will now be displayed (show hidden files and folders !).Delete from Java onwards.Restart your system (cold re-start - not just a reboot) and the file will be gone. You might want to reverse the 'show hidden files and folders' bit and turn system restore back on.Alfa.
