emma5 Posted October 7, 2005 Share Posted October 7, 2005 Hi, can anyone clarify how i get a tv license, I have been told by several people, that it will appear on my tax d'habitation at the end of this month, but a friend who also thought this has just received a fine of over a 1oo euros. would really like to know if i need to go to la poste and get a form. There also seems to be some confusion there as well. The friends letter says to go to post office and get a form, but some other friends went to the next town for a form and was told they didnt need one as it will appear on the tax d'habitation. Also we bought our house in april, so will we get the tax d'habitation this year, and if so what bearing would this have re tv license. Hope this makes a bit of sense. BJSLIV Posted October 7, 2005 Share Posted October 7, 2005 Yes it is now collected through the tax D'habitation. But you won't be getting one of those this year as you only purhased in April. I suggest that you visit the Tresor Publique, they are the experts. Its all very new and nobody seems too sure how the unusual cases will work out.
