Blade Posted January 6, 2006 Share Posted January 6, 2006 mum has broadband installed at home. she says she does not need it and i can take it over. i believe this is on a contract. we live the other side of the town. any ideas appreciated. thanks in advance. Your Mum will need to cancel her contract and pay the penalties/balance due (probably the balance of 12 months) and you will need your own contract. You could try asking at your local FT office. BJSLIV Posted January 6, 2006 Share Posted January 6, 2006 I supppose your mother could "move house" to your address.........However the first thing to do, is to read the terms and conditions from your mother's service provider These conditions will determine what charges if any would be made. If she has had the service for a while, some providers do not have 12 month rolling contracts, whereas others have heavy cancellation charges.Some providers have low charges for the first year, which might make starting a new contract cheaper than continuing the existing one.
