Rtony
I have a UK phone that's locked to the Orange (pay as you go) network. I've been led to believe that a french Orange pay as you go simcard is available, does anybody know if this is true and if it would work in my phone? Thanks,Tony
Will
Pay-as-you-go SIM cards are indeed available in France (and French SIM cards in Britain from www.0044.co.uk etc). However, they will not work in a phone that is locked to a UK network - not even Orange to Orange. Your best bet would probably be to have your phone unlocked - see the link above for details. Then you can consider other networks, such as NRJ in France, about the only one where top-ups do not have to be used up within a fairly short period. Rtony
Thanks Will. I've had the phone unlocked, now I'll have a look on Ebay France for an NRJ simcard. Do you know the phrase for 'pre-activated pay as you go'?Tony
