Logan
I have some very irritating problems with Wanadoo Espace. Not a new subject in these forums but I cannot find anything in past posts that may help to fix things. I have broadband 517K with Wanadoo Espace. Everytime I connect/boot up it removes my preferred home page(Google) and subsitutes wanadoo.fr. Also in Outlook Express it subsitutes a mail account that I do not want and which constantly requires a password. I can remove these each time I reconnect but does anyone have a solution which will fix it permanently. I usually turn off my computer at the end of a working day. Thanks. Deimos
You do not need to use the Wanadoo software. I initially used it when on analogue dial-upconnection, then “trashed it” (as it was worse than cr@p and you do not need itto connect to Wanadoo). Then when I switched to ADSL something happened to my sanityand I put the CD from the box in my computer. Later that day I realised my error and got rid of the Wanadoo softwareagain – and now my connection is great.I’d suggest “binning” the Wanadoo software and use astandard Windoze dial-up connection or go through a router (depends on yourmodem, etc.)Ian
Nick Trollope
Yes, the Wanadoo software is horribly invasive. When installing your livebox (if that is what you use), do not install the Wanadoo software (after the livebox install) - it will imply that your world will end if you don't, but don't be swayed...
