westland Posted July 28, 2006 Share Posted July 28, 2006 My daughter has seen a Compaq Presario computer similar to mine in the sales and is hoping to go back and buy it tommorow. However she has been told that over the past twelve months it is now necessary to by another small box (part of the modem?). I cannot understand why the system is not complete within the tower. Sorry if I haven't got the right computer speak, but can anyone advise what this might be about, or any tips for buying new in France. Thanks. She is signed up to alice (ex tiscali) dial-up, already on her old computer and as she pays a very small monthly fee didn't really want to increase this.
