Nick Trollope
Is there any way I can map an ftp site to my PC's?I have plenty of web space, but need to be able to transfer files to it from a number of machines - but not using ftp (too complex for the oiks). Ideally, I want (say) drive Z: to map to (eg) ftp.aplaceinfrance.com, so that it (Z:) looks like a drive on the local machine.Make sense? Cassis
I think I see what you mean, but not a clue how to do it. However, have you tried Filezilla? Wonderfully simple FTP software, free to download. You can just drag and drop files from your PC to the server location. Connecting to your FTP server is a one-click operation once you've set up the connection. Even oiks can do it.http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/
Nick Trollope
ta for this, but it won't work (for us) because (eg) Excel won't see an ftp site as a save location etc etc...
