bixy
As time has gone on, my system, running XP, has got slower and slower to start up. Time to go out and make a cup of tea, drink it, mow the lawn, write the new extended edition of War and Peace... Anyway, you get the picture. All of a sudden it's taking no time at all, without me having made any changes or deleted any programmes. I don't know if this is technically feasible but I was wondering if Microsoft had sent out some sort of fix in one of their updates, or am I just being naive? Anyone else noticed this?Patrick
Deimos
If you have things that can act as USB hard drives connected Windows XP does start a lot lot slower. For example, leaving some mobile phones connected to a USB port or an iPod connected can slow the start-up down massively.Ian
