AOL problems

Has anyone else had problems with AOL 9 (French version) in France? 

Loaded up the AOL 9 disk and all works fine after switching on the computer first thing in the morning. Goes on-line ok but having come off-line and then trying to go on-line again we hit a snag. We don’t have broadband and the number it tries to dial on the second occasion of use looks like a possible broadband number, i.e. 24-00-20-007. It also tries to use Com port 1 and not Com port 3. On the first occasion of use it uses Com port 3 and either the 08600880310 or 0860704444 number and that works. I notice that AOL 9 having failed , at the second time of use, the AOL 7 software also has problems and won’t connect either.

Problem on AOL 7 and AOL 9 can be fixed by restarting the computer until the next time AOL 9 comes off-line and we try to go on-line again. AOL 7 works fine as long as we have not used AOL 9.

AOL auto-diagnostic shows no error when it is going to work and error GGP58C when it is not going to work. Has anyone had the same problem and what did you do about it? Many thanks in anticipation……….John
