Iceni
Watch out for x-rates used on (primarily) US software. Some suppliers have adopted a simple approach to pricing USD 1 = GBP1 = EUR 1Johnnot
cooperlola
Pay in dollars by PayPal if this happens. They are giving excellent rates at present.
Bones
Isn't it true that there is no import tax to pay on computer related stuff (not the technical term!) from the states? With the weak dollar I think it makes sense to buy US at the moment, doesn't it?Having said that, I just bought 100 sony dvd-r discs from Andorra at 27 centimes a disc. [blink]They're about €2.50 a disc in French supermarkets.

Gyn_Paul
Spindle of 25 DVD+RW - £14.95 from Tesco. Not much use for those of us in France, but well worth remembering for the next visit.p
Dick Smith
Deleted - talking drivel! I'll re-post when I regain my marbles.Back again - PC World have DVD-RW at £5 for 50 (it says on their website).I checked again because I thought I had paid about £30 a hundred for DVD-R, and it is even less.I've never got on with DVD-RW, but I rarely record data disks, just video.
