TreizeVents
I am about to buy two new computers andswitch to wireless, probably with Free. I currently have a deal with One Tel that deal with all my phone callsautomatically, and gives them the low rate they offer. I am hooked up with ADSL, Wanadoo/Orange,now. I cannot get the full fFree dealas I live in a small rural town, but I can get the free phone calls and thehigh speed connection. My question iswhat order all this should take? I haveto buy the new computers. Install allthe data from each old computer to each new one. Cancel the One Tel deal, presumably so I can switch to the gratuityFree phone deal. Get rid of the modemand connection for Wanadoo/Orange. Connect the Freebox and make sure both computers can each connect toFree. Then fiddle about with a sevenyear old laptop to get it to connect to the Freebox, eventually. Although I have done all this myself in thepast, usually not at the same time. Andnever with wireless. At present bothcomputers are networked in a way I don’t understand, but it does involve aphysical connection with a wire between the two. Havingdone each step, except the networking in the past, I am now thinking the bestsolution could be to hire a guy to come to the house and “just do it”. Computer things seems to be getting more andmore complex, and I am not keeping up. Since the two of us are on our machines a total of maybe eight hours aday, I would be good to be able to do this the most trouble free waypossible. I realise that I will end uppaying for a couple of months connection to Wanadoo that I don’t need, but amprepared to pay one or two months, but not a lot more. Any advice? Thank you. Anton Redman
Go to Brazil or Morroco , have extensive plastic surgery and complete gender realignment, sell your house to yourself and start again. It will be cheaper, more effective and less painful

Bones
If you're not degroupee you might as well stay with Orange (though they can be a right pain).Go with the Livebox (Sagem version) and create a wireless network between the PC's.The new ones will be wireless ready, your old laptop will need the wireless 'dongle' that comes with the Livebox.Transfer your old files to your new PC's: you can either connect them via a cable OR just copy your files on to a CD/DVD and insert that into your new PC (I ended up popping my old hard drive into my new PC and transfering the files over via windows explorer - dead dead easy).Creating a home wireless network via your livebox should be very easy - that's what it's for!Buy a Lynksis (or simillar) cordless Skype phone: Skype is really cheap and dead easy to set up (the phone will come with a disk) - 0.17 pence a minute to the UK. The Livebox deal will include free calls in France.Sorted.
