cooperlola
I have received the following from an American journalist:"I am a correspondent with National Public Radio, a highly respected, non-commercial public radio network with 26 million listeners in the United States (the closest thing the U.S. has to the BBC). I am planning a trip to France (probably the week of March 10th) to do a story about how the French health care system works and why it might be a good model for the United States as it considers health reform. For my radio story, I’ll want to tell the story of someone’s use of the system—and look for things that they got that wouldn’t be available to someone getting health care in the U.S. Or maybe it’s the story of an American expatriate who can compare the two systems. (How do American expatriates get health care in France?) So I’m asking for 1. your expertise in helping me understand the French system and 2. to find patients and doctors and other medical workers I could interview. I will want to tape record these interviews and identify the people in the story. This is for a major reporting series that NPR is planning—to run in April—that looks at health care in other countries (right now I think all are in Europe) and how those systems may be models for American health care reform."He would like to talk to any US citizens who have made the move to France, about how they find the system here, what their entitlements are etc. This is now likely to be in April, nt March. If anybody can help, please pm or e-mail me.
