Heva Y
We have recently bought a house in Brittany where the previous owners left their sky digibx and card for us. The question that we want to ask is if we take a television out and connect up to the box will we have to buy a french TV licence we have heard conflicting reports and if we do need one where do we get it from and how much will it be. Also as it is a sky box presumably we do not have to pay Sky to use it ???Heather
Clair
You do need a French TV licence. See here: http://www.completefrance.com/cs/forums/790681/ShowPost.aspxYou do not need to pay a Sky subscription for the basic channels. suein56
Also you will pay your TV licence fee in with your taxe d'habitation - unless you tick a box on your income tax form to say that you do not have a TV or other receiving device.Sue
Dick Smith
Which, as you have a Sky dish, would not be a sensible move!French authorities seem pretty clued up on this.
