Wils
I have just purchased and installed a Optex digital receiver which is connected to a dish and receives Astra 2D transmittions OK. Although I have BBC1, BBC2 and ITV 1 there are no indications on the channel numbers brought up via the on screen menu for BBC 3 and 4 or ITV 2 and 4, does anyone have them?[8-)]
Tim
The reason for this is because during the day BBC3 & BBC4 do not transmit - their frequencies are used by Cbeebies and CBBC. If you retune your box after 7p.pm. - 8p.m. French time you should see the channel info appear.I'm not sure about the problem you appear to be having with ITV2 as that should be there all the time, although ITV4 operates in a similar way to BBC3 & 4 - it's frequency is used by the ITV children's channel during the day.Hope this may help - if not come back and tell us what's going on and I'll have another go.Regards - Tim
Anton Redman
They may not have been set up for the Optex. There is a complicated section in the menu structure about scanning for new transponders and the link below lists everything on 28 degrees East.http://www.lyngsat.com/28east.htmlI also did a review of using the Optex for Sky over a year ago will have a look to see if there is anything useful in that. http://www.completefrance.com/cs/forums/698935/ShowPost.aspxDid not add much I am afrraid but as you have the dish and LNB correctly aligned the hard part is over.
