chirpy
Can anyone give approx. numbers of A4 size photograhs you obtain with a printer.I have PRINTER/SCANNER/COPIER hpsc1110 ALL-IN-ONE and use56 black(19ml) and 57 colour (17ml). I know it depends on areas of colorsetc but want to give an idea to a fete committee who are worried about costs.thanks
Bugsy
Don't even bother, the cost is prohibitive. Print one copy, then nip down to the colour photocopier in the supermarket.
Pierre ZFP
As you say it depends on colour saturation and if you have large areas of the same colour. e.g lots of blue and the cyan will run out before the other colours but the cartridge is still usless. Assuming a fair distribution and not too solid colours, my guess would be less than 100. It soon becomes more cost effective to get a quote from a local printer.EDIT: Bugbear beat me to it - and his suggestion is better!
Bob T
I watched a program about this on TV a couple of years ago. The average inkjet prints about 85 A4 colour photos per set of cartridges, whereas the average colour laser will do around 1200. At €220, I went for the laser and have never looked back.
