cancel 9online

Recommended Posts

I have an internet account with 9online for a dial up connection. We

will shortly be able to get ADSL (Hooray!!) but the only proviider in

this area is Orange so I will have to cancel my 9online contract. I

realise that I will have to pay vast sums before I can get out of the

contract but seem to remember seeing somewhere a bunch of standard

letters for cancel french ISP accounte. Anyone have any ideas??

Hi

I did the above but didn't work (might work for some), ended up waiting for 2 months then I sent a letter to Bordeaux (address on phone bill) in french basically saying, I would like to cancel with immediate effect my account no. 000000

Got a letter explaining they were cancelling it at the end of the month.

If ADSL is just about to become available in your area, you will in all probability find that   the others will follow very shortly afterwards. Orange have a head-start because they (France Telecom) control the basic ADSL infrastructure, but as soon as the equipment is in the others soon follow.

If you can possibly wait just a few more weeks you will have a wider and cheaper selection to choose from , including the phone call inclusive packages from Neuf and others. You would also keep your existing mailbox.

Have you spoken to Neuf, or tried upgrading via the Neuf website?

Thanks everyone for taking the trouble to answer my query, I think I'll

try both methods and if they fail just see what and when neuf have to

offer but, if I can, I'd rather use Orange which is the only service

provider for ADSL at the moment.

ChjezShells, my french still isn't that great, exactly what magic words

did you use in your letter ? I'll just use the same since it worked for

you.
