Alichri
When we moved into our house the previous owners left their Satalite Dish and decoder. We bought a TV in France and hooked them up and now receive the usual 5 French channels. Is it possible to simply realign the dish and receive channels through sky? If not I can get a Sky box no problem - would I be able to connect this to the existing dish and TV, realign the dish and get the British Channels?Any help/thoughts would be appreciated[:D]
ChezShells
HiIf its a standard numerique box then you should be able to get UK TV, if its anoalogue or TNT then you cannot, the dish should be okay if the LNB is universal.Lee
Tim
Yes, a French digital box should work on the UK channels - there are, however a few things to remember - you will need to input the frequencies, unless the box has a search facility, if so, you can do that, but then you normally get a load of channels you don't want. One advantage is that you can put the channels in any order you like. The dish should be ok, as the previous poster has said, if it has a universal lnb - and most are nowdays. If not, they can be bought quite cheaply from diy shops.
