cooperlola Posted May 30, 2007 Share Posted May 30, 2007 My computer suddenly seems to have developed the habit of sending me off line without notice. I get disconnected from the IE and when I click the tools bar I find that "Work Offline" has been checked. I un-check it and it goes back to normal again. This doesn't happen all the time and some days are worse than others. It there something in my set-up I can alter to stop this happening? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
tenniswitch Posted May 30, 2007 Share Posted May 30, 2007 FWIW, I used to have that problem when I was using my Orange-supplied modem. Now that I've switched to a router/modem, I haven't experienced this. I think what was happening was that there would be a brief disconnect from the ISP and the old modem wouldn't automatically reconnect. The new one does.
