Clair
How is your PC connected to your router?wireless, USB, ethernet? If wireless, it might take a few seconds for the network to be seen...
Mr Coeur de Lion
Sounds like you've installed the Orange software as well. Uninstall it, and reinstall the method of connection and when it's connected to your router, (from memory), the installer box has continuer which takes you to the softare installation. At this point cancel the procedure. If you are wirelessly connected, you should get a message at the bottom of the screen saying wireless networks in range. Click on that, click connect, enter the code at the bottom of the livebox twice when prompted and that should be it.
SS2002
I am connected by a USB modem, I wasn't offered wireless though I would have preferred that!
Pierre ZFP
USB is inherently slow, rip it out and use the ethernet connection insted
Nige
IF its a Sagem, thomson or ZX it is just a USB modem and will not connect unless you ask it, if its a live box you can set it to conect as soon as you start but I would get rid of the LB and get a prpoer router like a Netgear or linksys. The above USB modems will got to 2mb connetions while the router will give up to 25mb. There is no difference between usb speed and RJ45/ethernet only that you do not have to install a driver for ethernet.
Graham & Brenda
I have a modem from Wanadoo (now Orange) connected by USB. It connects straight away, no problem. I am not techy enough to explain why yours doesn't but just wish to reassure you until someone can explain it better.
