Anton Redman
I want to buy either 5 metre CAT 5 cable with one male and one female end or a double female ended coupler as link below. Visited Darty, Boulanger and Auchan. Auchan had a large range of connectors but not the one I needed. Either a national chain or somewhere in the Bordeaux, Bergerac Perigeaux triangle would be ideal.http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?ModuleNo=26761&doy=1m10

Suze01
There is a small independant electrical shop in Périgueux where you will find any electrical bits and pieces you are looking for. It's a real Aladin's cave for electronics. It is called KCE and is in the road where the theatre is (rue du Président Wilson).
