I fancy upgrading to a digital system to pick up free UK stations. Obviously, I will need a new box, but will I need to change the dish/LNB? Thanks,Dave. Tim Posted October 28, 2007 Share Posted October 28, 2007 Does the LNB have a label on it? If so, if it says 'Universal' then it should work ok with any digital receiver. As to the dish - if it's anything around the 60cm in size it should be fine - unless you live in the far south, then an 80 maybe better.Tim Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Martin963 Posted October 29, 2007 Share Posted October 29, 2007 The only variant the French have had in living memory is a "tete Telecom" which was a Gallic LNB designed to allow older analogue boxes with limited I.F.tuning ranges to access the high frequencies required to pick up French TV from satellite (in those days the "Telecom" sats.)As Timco says, if your LNB says universal or 9.75/10.6 on it then you are fine, apart from swinging the dish round.
