Graham & Brenda
I am running Windows XP Home Edition, with Internet Explorer 7, AVG Free Edition, Zone Alarm and I use Ad Aware and Spybot regularly. I have XP set up for automatic Windows updates. My connection is Wanadoo/Orange Broadband. The problem is that when I am connected to the net, every few minutes the Dial up Networking box opens then immediately disappears. The mouse repositions itself but files which are open seem unaffected. It is however very distracting and annoying, so If anyone can suggest a solution I will be very grateful. (A similarly set up but different spec computer with a different version of XP doesn't have the problem). Thanks in advance,

Graham & Brenda
Thanks Alex, I tried that but then it would not connect to the Internet so I had to check the box "Always dial my default connection" - then it connected! - but the problem remains. Alex H
Then there is something else set incorrectly.
