Coproprietaire accounts

We own a flat in Montpellier and attend the meetings with our neighbours.  The accounts seem needlessly complicated and the new syndic is trying to opt out because she can't understand them.  I've looked on line and in book shops in France for a simple guide to drawing up these accounts, so far without success.  It should be straightforward.  Does anyone know of a guide or a place to go?

The accounts are generally relatively easy to understand  - however, there tends to be a lot of individual line items and different items may be shared between different groups of people, and their shares may differ, depending on whether they have a parking space, cave, or whatever.

If you are having problems as a copropriété, your first port of call is to talk to ARC, which is a VERY good organisation for conseil syndicaux.

The national organisation is UNARC:

The local organisation is ARCLanguedoc:

There are joining fees for the copropriete but they are small and the help given is EXTREMELY good. We are currently in Montpellier if you want to have a chat.
