gosub Posted April 30, 2008 Share Posted April 30, 2008 This may be of interest to those who have Microsoft Wordinstalled on their computer and want to convert numbers into words easily, veryuseful for writing French numbers if you have the French dictionary installed. Open a new document and change the language if required.Press Ctrl+F9 then in the field that opens up; enter " = " thenthe number you want to convert, then "\*cardtext" without the quotes. then press F9 Example: {=123456\*cardtext} then press F9 with the cursorstill in the field Result: (English) one hundred-twenty three thousand four hundred fifty-sixResult: (French) cent vingt-trois mille quatre cent cinquante- six Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

AnOther Posted April 30, 2008 Share Posted April 30, 2008 Which French dictionary are you talking about ?I have the one from the Office disk (proofing tools) but your trick isn't working for me.Also which version of Word do you use, I have 2002 (also known as Office XP).
