Credit for France Telecom

Tuesday night, a thunder storm wiped out our livebox and it became a mortebox.

Wednesday we visited the FT shop in Chateauroux to get a replacement. On arriving at the FT shop, there were big queues. When we were finally seen, we explained what had happened and instantly whisked to the technical department upstairs where a bloke stopped what he was doing (ie serving another customer) and started testing our mortebox.

For some reason we had jumped the queue as there were quite a few others ahead of us. We were told that we should have phoned technical support first to get a number or something, but it wasn't the end of the world that we didn't. But why we were given preferential treatment remains a mystery.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, the way we were treated by FT was fantastic (although I dare say the people who were waiting behind us would disagree), and at the end it was just the power pack that the storm had taken out and the mortebox was actually still a livebox. They gave us a new power pack and off we went.

Great service and credit where it's due.
