Anton Redman
You should have no problems in 87. Check all connections to the coaxial cable at both the LNB and digibox are tight. Check the dish and arm cannot move. Try the box at a friend's house who has SKY try their box at your house. Swop the LNB (thing on the end of the arm) for a new one. Martin963
An LNB is une tete universelle. If it's a Sky type dish you may be scuppered and have to order the correct replacement, otherwise they're all the same size (at least the non specialist ones are) and are very simply gtipped between two hemispherical clamps. You just undo a couple of screws and the clamps undo - and then you drop the lot on the floor....DECT phone causing problems? Computer nearby? Probably not likely, but DECT phones can knock out specific sat freqs.
Poppy
We had a similar problem, it was ants in the LNB [blink] Problem solved with an new LNB.
Gyn_Paul
The two halves of the LNB clamp are usually held together by a pair of long thin bolts. The nut is held captive in one half in a nut-shaped casting, which is clever in that you don't need a spanner to tighten it up again, and no-so-clever in that when you try to reattach the two halves the end of the bold pushes the nut out of the housing and d-o-w-n into the long grass !p
Gyn_Paul
AB - my question about the sunny weather was because I though it posible that the problem was caused by temperature changes; but that hardly likely to be a cause at 8 in the morning !p
Bilbo
Mine used to lose its signal on hot afternoons but all was resolved when I bought a new LNB.
