Faxing via the Livebox

Anyone know if this is possible to connect a normal fax machine to the Livebox and send and receive faxes? And then plug a phone into the fax machine itself as well and be able to use it too?

I'm pretty sure it is not possible (adsl and fax use different frequencies) but there is no harm in plugging it in and trying!

We have a fax telephone plugged in to our other phone socket which just uses the ordinary FT line and the adsl modem in the other

That's what I've got at present, but need to move things around and plugging fax into livebox would have been perfect.

just plug the phone line from the livebox into your fax ? or your PC!

There should be a way, I have my phone/fax from the UK connected into my Alicebox and it sends and receives faxes and phone calls fine. The only thing it doesn't do is show caller ID and I don't know why not.

Ah good. Someone who has done it. I can plug it in without any problems, it was just being able to test it (ie send to another fax machine and then get the person on the other end to send a fax back) that I was unable to do, hence the question if anyone has been able to do it.
