Russethouse Posted July 12, 2008 Share Posted July 12, 2008 Like many here I use the free version of Zone Alarm as a firewall and run Windows XP . Yesterday I could not log on to the internet at all and eventually, having explored every avenue I could with my limited knowledge [:(] I was forced to phone my computer guy who told me that Windows have issued a security update which clashes with Zone alarm - I had to turn off Zone Alarm, go to updates and delete the last one, then stop the computer updating and then turn Zone Alarm on again........Just posting for anyone who may encounter the same.... This is a recognised problem and there is a fix for Zone Alarm. To get back on the net disable Zone Alarm and go HERE for the new download/fix.
