Bugsy
We've just had a large, heavy thunder cloud pass directly in line with our sat dish and it caused a big loss of signal. As soon as it passed the normal signal strength returned.I didn't know clouds could do that ! [8-)]
Martin963
I've noticed that sometimes a sat picture can degrade more *before* the rain actually starts to come down. Inspection out of the window reveals a filthy grey cloud in the part of the sky pertaining to the satellite affected. I suppose that while the rain is still in the cloud the water is more "concentrated".Particularly noticeable on analogue when you can "grade" the problem more accurately. Mr Coeur de Lion
Ours always goes off with a proper thunderstorm or really heavy rains. Along with the internet too.
