tonyv
From a rough comparison of Darty's prices with similar items in the UK, it would appear that the UK is considerably cheaper for TVs. Since most new sets support both PAL and SECAM, and are multi-standard, is there any percieved advantage to buying in France?
Bob T
UK is a long way to take it back if you have any problems. I would not buy from Darty at their inflated prices anyway.
buckdendave
Yes - that's my experience as well, so I have bought in the UK twice. However, although many sets sold in the UK will receive SECAM, it's not true that they all do. Of course, if you're using a Sky box, it doesn't matter.Dave
Anton Redman
You run a serious chance of buying a TV which has only a TNT/ Digital Terestrial receiver built it
