Russethouse
Is there anyway that I could tell if a third party is being copied into emails addressed to me, via Bcc ?

Pierre ZFP
Unfortunately that doesn't work - maybe it did on an ancient version of Outlook or something
Cat
I don't think it's possible, the Bcc details are not even held in the post header.
Pierre ZFP
I thought RH meant any email, not just ones sent from the forum.
Cat
That what I meant, any email. The Bcc details are not recorded in the source or header of the recipient's email.
Âme
I use Outlook 2000, pretty ancient, and it doesn't show bcc's in the To box when I forward... Unless I was a recipient of a bcc, in which case I can see the other bcc recipients. However, if entered as a distribution list e.g. "undisclosed recipients," no addresses are revealed. Even the sender cannot print the bcc recipients in the header, so for anything official a separate forward is used. That way dates & recipients are recorded on a print out. 'Reply to all' sends copies to all the bcc recipients... You still don't get to see their address(es) but maybe you could have some fun with it.
