Philouis
Our next door neighbour (semi attached house) has a full Sky service. He has offered us a chance of sharing his programmes using a Sky Multi Box. It would cost an extra £10 a month and as we already have a Sky box with the basic free Sky channels, would it be that easy to set up? What are the snags if any? (other than it being illegal)
Tim
As far as I'm aware, you have to have the boxes connected to a phone line as part of Sky's terms and conditions - this, of course, would have to be a UK phone line.I would check closely with Sky's terms before going any further.Regards - Tim
Bilbo
Tim is correct. You need to have the second box connected to a UK phone line and they DO check. Why not just get another second hand Sky box or one of the new Freesat boxes and rig it up to get the channels which you don't have to pay for anyway? This gives you lots of choice and you can always visit your neighbour for any special sporting or other occasion, assuming he has a suitable subscription? Philouis
Many thanks Bilboand Tim. I already have a Skybox and receive all the free channels. But I thought it might be more interesting, if I could get the full Sky programmes in my own abode! The telephone connection could be a big snag!
